Okay, Seriously...

....WHERE is the OFF BUTTON on this Thing?!?!?!?!?

Last night was HORRIBLE! We fed at 11:30, she was up at midnight. Then we fed three more times and walked and rocked and nothing. Wide awake was she. At 4am, she finally decided to sleep. A bit.

Exhausted really does not begin to describe this, but you know me - there's a funny moment in there somewhere, so, may I present "Midnight: A Conversation":

Husband to Little Sasquatch, Little Octopus, or the Super Pooper (we're tossing around ideas here): Hey You, it's time for bed. Are you all ready for sleep?

LS, LO, or SP responds with a sigh and holds up one hand with her index finger pointing, followed by the loudest excrement-producing sound imaginable.

Bren (laughing like an idiot and actually slapping her knee): Hah! That was great! Is there an onomatopoeia for that?

Evil look from Husband.

Bren: No really, how would you spell that sound?

Day and night reversal - so much fun, isn't it? They grow out of it pretty quickly though, most of the time.

Yeah, it takes the little guys a while to get their day-night thing figured out - you can help her along by making sure she sits in some sunlight during the day and that the house is darker at night - it helps her interior clock get straightened out, theoretically.
Meanwhile, welcome to Tired, Population: You!

I don't think I know anyone who can use the word onomotopeia or however it's spelled, in a sentence like you did. You sound remarkable awake and amused for a woman who just gave birth! Good job! Hope you are all well and sleeping when you can. Is hubby home for a while with y'all? Do you have some help?

Sounds like fun. I always love your descriptions of conversations. I can always totally picture the scene.

She will work her days and nights out soon, really.

Take care of yourselves.

Well last night was a little better. I can't remember sleeping, but the Husband assures me we did.

Brenda: Husband got the weekend in the hospital with me plus three days. We're doing not too badly, just the two of us during the day. I don't get a whole lot done, but that's okay. And Grama's coming in two days! :)

The off button doesn't even show itself until that girl is out the door about 20 years down the road. And even then it can get stuck.

Sorry you're so tired and that things are upside down, but it will get better. Especially once Grama shows up!
