Contest is now closed.
Thanks for stopping by!
Okay, well last time I spent altogether too much time entering giveaways and not hosting one of my own so this time, I'm in.
I'll post a picture tomorrow of The Prize but I will tell you now that it is a Wilton silicone 6-star pan. Which basically (oh why am I too lazy to get a picture up tonight?) means it's a pan that has six star-shaped receptacles for cake batter. Also, I'm throwing in a couple of decorating items as you will see in said forthcoming picture. Edit: The end of laziness! Here are the pictures! (Sorry the second one is blurry...I'm sure you get the idea.)
But wait! You know I have to make you work for it so in your comment (only one per person, please), tell me who you'd rather serve your star cupcakes to and why. Would it be:
a) The Pope?
b) Mr. Rogers?
or
c) Queen Elizabeth II?*
Contest will be closing at midnight (EST) on...let's see....Saturday. The winner will be chosen at random by our 10 month-old Little Goat and hopefully we will see who the winner is before she eats the paper with the name written on it. Good luck and thanks for stopping by!
Oh, and if you have say....three or four hours to kill entering giveaways/contests, click here for The List.
The Fine Print: This contest is open to anybody in Canada or the US. If you aren't a blogger, please leave a way to contact you if you're the winner. Oh, and if you don't answer the question, no entry for you - sorry!
*And yes, I know that Mr. Rogers isn't alive anymore...this is hypothetical, my friends....

I'd give it to Mr. Rogers. I love his show, and he seemed so kind and friendly and was a favorite memory of my childhood.
alaskawildroe AT gmail.com
I'd serve to Mr. Rogers. He seems the least intimidating and since he's so kid friendly, I'm sure he wouldn't mind sharing with my son! :)
kittlelyn (@) aol (dot) com
Mr. Rogers, seems the most likely, the Queen and Pope are too "at the top" for me. I'd like a down to earth "friend" to share them with.
Plus Mr. Rogers would never make a rude comment even if they tasted bad :) -- but hey, you didn't mean Wayne Rogers, right?
Aww, I'd like to have a good ol' chat with Mr. Rogers over some sweet little cupcakes. He seems like a cupcake man, huh? Red sweater, sneakers, freaky puppets, and cupcakes. How picturesque.
Oh gosh!!! Mr. Rogers of course. Who sweeter to spend an afternoon wtih sipping tea and noshing on some sweet goodies.
I can be reached at the URL attached to my name. THANKS!!!
Queen Lizzie, excuse me, Queen Elizabeth II. I'd just love to meet her and get a chance to check out Buckingham Palace! :)
http://youjustgottalaugh.blogspot.com
I think I'm in the minority, but I'd pick the Pope. I could use all the blessings I can get.
I'd love to meet the Queen for tea and cake (from this awesome prize).
Thanks for the chance!
Lisa

I would have to choose the Pope! As a catholic, I have some questions about these new sins! :) Thanks for the giveaway!!
Mr. Rogers seems least likely to complain if it don't taste so good :)
Mr. Rogers of course!
He is such a good neighbor afterall.
:)
ndisilvio at gmail dot com
I also have to go with Mr. Rogers- he is a human cupcake! Thanks!
lin@mysupersaving.com
I would so serve Mr. Rogers, I had the opportunity to hear him speak and he was so kind! Thanks for the giveaway!
I did not even have to think about this one-Mr. Rogers! Such a lovely, kind soul.
zoetrope2000 at gmail dot com
I would choose the Pope. I think that he would be a very interesting person to talk to. I married into a very traditional Catholic family and I am not Catholic. I am serious when I say one of the first questions that one of the aunts asked me when we were dating was, "Are you Catholic?". So to share some cupcakes with the Pope would be such a treat and he could give me some beautiful advice and blessings. I would be "in" with the in laws too, that never hurts!
Mr. Rogers (although that's a little strange to say since the other two are still alive...). But he published some interesting thoughts on child development and it would be fun to talk to him in person.
please wount you be my naber hi habber i just had to say that i realy did love the land of makebelivewhen i was a kid so well mr rogers rocks
I would love to serve it to The Pope even though I'm not catholic. I think it'd be an awesome experience
Mr. Rogers of course..memories of that train
3beez at bellsouth dot net
Mr. Rogers, because he was a very kind man. :)
I would also pick Mr Rogers as he was a great memory from my childhood.
I have to say that I really wouldn't want to choose any of these. If I won I would use the opportunity to make cupcakes with my kids and then eat with them!!
Julie
The Pope. I am not Catholic but he seems like a pretty fascinating guy.
Mr. Rogers! I love his blue sweater and tennis shoes! That always tickled me for him to change clothes. I watched that show EVERYDAY!
Mr Rogers! Although one of my classes at college was full of people who didn't get along or see eye to eye, we all were sad the day Mr Rogers died.
I am going to be in the minority and say Queen Elizabeth II. I am a Canadian (but living in the US), and as such, we are raised with a respect for the Queen. She has actually visited a farm, not two miles from the farm where I grew up, and from what I have read of the event, she could be just as down to earth as the next guy (gal, whatever), in a relaxed atmosphere...well, as relaxed as the ruling British monarch can be, I guess. If the Queen eats star cupcakes, my first batch is hers!
I would love to be entered in your giveaway.

Queen Elizabeth...because I just think that out of those 3 choices, she'd be the one that I'd most want to meet. :)
andraya3 at yahoo dot com
Okay I'm going to be naughty and say Matthew McConaughey just becasue it would be oh so wonderful to watch him eat it *blushing*...the giveaway looks like so much fun!!
well, Mr. Rogers is dead and I'm not Catholic, so I think I would have to pick Her Majesty
sdyjak@gmail.com
Oh man... I'd say Queen Elizabeth II, only because I'd rather stay a girl.
I would serve my cupcake to the queen. I would have to read an etiquette book first.
i think i'd serve my cupcakes to the queen. itd be awesome to hear all her storiews while we enjoyed the cupcakes.
I would enjoy having my snack with Mr. Rogers, but no way am I letting him serve me. "I'll be happy to serve you, Mr. Rogers. You just sit and impart some wisdom!"
Wow, I guess I'm one of the majority, I'd bake them for Mr Rogers too. I'd love to hear his life story directly from him.
Mr. Rogers! Maybe he'd take me with him to the make-believe neighborhood.
The Queen, of course. I love tea parties and what better guest than a real queen? We might even use real good manners that day!
I'd say the queen, I think she'd be very interesting to have a nice 'tea party' with, lots of interesting conversation.
Her majesty, because I think she has a great sense of humor under her royal facade.
Eh, Mr. Rogers for sure! I would be too nervous to serve food to the queen!!!
I'd say Mr. Rogers because he just seems like a cupcake kind of guy. The other two seem more upscale than cupcakes.
I would have to say Mr. Rogers. That way we could jump on the Trolley and head over to the Neighborhood of Make Believe. While there we could share our treats with King Friday, Queen Sara, Prince Tuesday, Henrietta Pussycat and X the Owl. As you can see I would need to make some extras but it would be worth it to visit with all of the fun characters I grew up with!
I've loved Mr. Rogers ever since I was a child. It was a sad day when he passed away! I would serve them to him and ask him what it's like up in heaven. :)
claireroach81(at)hotmail(dot)com
I opt for choice d--Mr. T. I pity the fool who doesn't like my cupcakes!
Definitely Queen Elizabeth II...the mystery of royalty has always intrigued me!
We are big cupcake fans around here. I'd like to serve them to The Queen. I'd much rather talk to a lady than those two men. :D
Mr. Rogers because he was such a sweet man and very genuine!
Thanks for the giveaway! Sign me up! ( :
In Christ,
Mandi
I'd give them to the Pope. He's out to do good for the world and I bet we'd have great discussions while eating our cupcakes.
I'd serve the cupcakes to Mr. Rogers. I'd be embarrassed to get crums in my lap around Queen Elizabeth, and I don't speak the same language as The Pope. Mr. Rogers would definitely be a fun person to share a cute cupcake with, and then my son could play with the train! Thanks for the giveaway!
Mr. Rogers. The pope is just another guy to me, and last time the queen visited America, she got all offended when someone tried to shake her hand... no thanks. Mr. Rogers is friendly and won't care if my cupcake isn't perfect or if I don't fawn all over him like he's someone special.
I would share the star cakes with Mr. Rogers -- he warmed and brightened my life for so many years, and my children loved him too. He embodies true compassion and genuine kindness.
Mr. Rodgers. He seems more the cupcake type plus he always seemed warm and personable.
Fun contest Bren! I'd like to serve the Queen - love the whole royalty thing!!
Have a good contest - see ya - Kellan
Thanks for having a giveaway! I would choose Mr. Rogers - he was so amiable on his TV show, I am sure he was the same way in person.
trishtheconqueror at hotmail dot com
It would be a toss between Mr. Rogers and the Queen. I admire Mr. Rogers. I loved his shows as a child. But the Queen is the Queen. Now it couldn't just be a serve them to her and move on, it would have to be for me to sit with her and eat them together, ask questions, be shown the family jewels, etc.
I love the cake pan!!!
Definitely Mr. Rogers. He was my hero when I was 6. I still have a secret loyalty to him lol! :D
Thank you so much for this great giveaway! My daughter is a little goat, too. :P*
Mr. Rogers cause he would be nice and eat them even if I burned them :)
I would totally serve them to Mr. Rogers. I always liked that guy...
Why does your comment form say Passport Stamps?
Definitely Mr. Rogers! He seems so sweet!
Mr. Rogers: he's so down to earth and would appreciate the gift even if they weren't the best.
delightfulconfection[at]gmail[dot]com
Martha Stewart just o I can say see I can bake just as good as you
I choose the Queen, would be so thrilling to meet her.
Enter me, too!
I guess the Queen. I did sort of meet her once. Well....I was on the side of the road when her motorcade went barreling by!
I'd like to serve them to Adrea Bocelli...maybe he would serenade me!
dbstout[at]juno[dot]com
Hey, don't forget my giveaways!
comfortjoydesigns.blogspot.com
acupofjoy.wordpress.com
thechocolistas.blogspot.com
I'd serve cupcakes to the Pope and proceed to ask him to explain 'eternity in heaven' to me. Eternity... SERIOUSLY? INFINITY?
Gah, that's another post, right?
Happy first giveaway!
Definitely Mr. Rogers - he is a fond reminder of my childhood. :)
Mr. Rogers. I watched him as a child and I think he would enjoy them.
Mr. Rogers!
It's Mr. Rogers by a landslide!
Not trying to enter again, but I wanted to comment on your comment (about my comment). (Did you follow that?!?!
When I saw the queen's motorcade, she was on her way to Yosemite (CA) about 25 (?) years ago. We saw the group, drove a backroad and saw her again. We notice the caravan was shorter. (Minus the ambulance, for one.) When we headed back, we found out why. THere had been a HUGE fatal crash. The sheriff was patrolling one direction, and secret service the other. Both thought they had the entire road to themselves. (It was a windy mountain road.) At least 4 officers died. :( It happened at the one location that had a very short detour and the queen's motorcade was diverted. My Mom (RN) and Dad (EMT) stopped to offer assistance. (But the motorcade had a doctor and ambulance already.)
Mr. Fred Rogers! He was so influential on me in my youth and i can still sing most of his operas. :)
What a fun giveaway. I would serve mine to Mr. Rodgers. As a child I loved his show and I think he is pretty wise! Thanks for the chance to enter!
I have to choose one of the three, hunh? I feel that the queen would probably be kind and compliment my cakes, but inside would be thinking how primitive... Mr. Rogers would be good, except isn't he no longer living? And the Pope... well, I guess I'd have to choose him, though I'm not Catholic and would hate to feel the need to convert just to serve him cupcakes... now if you had offered the Dali Lama my choice would have been much simpler! :)
I'd rather serve it to Mr Rogers. He'd love stars! LOL
Mr Rogers. He seems like he would enjoy them!
Definitely Mr. Rogers. He's had much more of an influence on me than those other two. Thanks for the great giveaway!
I would have to say Mr. Rogers since my son would love to share a cupcake with him!LOL! Thanks for such a fun giveaway!
sblilly14(@)yahoo(.)com
I would choose to serve Mr. Rogers....he was an incredible teacher and educator to many children. My children still love his show! :) He seems soo sweet and genuine and I would love to know him!
I would say Mr. Rogers since he was so kind and sweet to children.
Queen Lizzy! Who wouldn't want to meet a Queen? I'm thinking the Pope is a little old and Mr. Rogers was a nice guy, but I prefer female company for conversation.
learningmama at yahoo dot com
I would say Queen Elizabeth, she is a female (might make conversation easier) and it would be fascinating to listen to royalty talk about their life!
Mr. Rogers, because I was invited into his living room every afternoon, and I never reciprocated :(
The Queen - I am fascinated to learn what her life is like. Thanks for your giveaway!
Nice giveaway. Fun shapes are always a hit with my kids!
I would serve to Mr. Rogers - I think it would be easiest to talk and visit with him over the other choices!
Mr. Rogers! I love that show! Thanks for an awesome giveaway!
I think Queen Elizabeth is fascinating and I'd love to serve her some cute star shaped cupcakes. Cute prize!
Oh my gosh look at all these comments! I would choose the Pope. My kid needs all the prayers and blessings she can get.
Also, he loves cats, he even has his friends bring their cat to the Vatican to visit. So he would love my Roofus :)
Hi, I would go to the "neighborhood"
and share star cupcakes with Mr. Rogers, Mr. McFeely, and the whole puppet gang. Please enter me in your drawing. I appreciate it.....Cindi
jchoppes[at]hotmail[dot]com
I'd have to go with Mr. Rogers to relive a little bit of my childhood.
Oh my! I guess I would have to go with Mr Rogers. Hey you never know I just might get a ride on the trolley out of it.
Thank you for the fun giveaway and if you get a chance I'd love for you to come on over and enter mine Yummy Things & Cupcake Dreams.
Take Care,
Marilyn
I would have to say Mr. Rogers since he seemed to be easy going. I would be to nervous to serve the pope or the queen.
samsakara@twcny.rr.com
Oh Mr. Rogers - he was my hero. He was so kind, sweet, and gentle. What a great show!
Well, I think Mr. Rogers would be the least intimidating.
emily_albrecht at hotmail dot com
Like almost everyone else that's a definite Mr. Rogers for me.
Mr. Rogers! He seems like such a nice man! monk5@charter.net
Oh gosh -- Mr Rogers no contest. He was a sweet soul and is missed!
Mr. Rogers, because I feel like I would be the most comfortable around him.
I would rather serve star cupcakes and sprinkles to the darling 4 year old in the other room. Of course, the little darling was sent to bed early without a snack for throwing sand at her friend, but . . . She'd love 'em!
Thanks!
art and nature [at] juno dot com
I'd invite Mr. Rogers. He is the most approachable of the 3. :)
Definitely Mr. Rogers.
I'd say Mr. Rogers, my son would love to check out his fish tank! :)
Out of those three-Mr. Rogers.
Unless I got to ask the Queen some quetions....
Mr Rogers. He's winning hands down and I agree with the majority!
c) Queen Elizabeth II
I would bring them to her 'home' (aka castle) with my daughters for high tea. My two little princesses would be tickled (me too) to meet a real Queen.
my girls love baking and decorating their creation with sprinkles and such!!
Mr. Rogers! He's awesome even if he's not here in person anymore. :( 2nd choice would be the former Pope. I don't really like the new guy so much.
teacherkrista at gmail dot com
I'm going to have to agree with the first commenters.. Mr. Rogers because he seems the nicest, etc.
I'm going to have to go with Mr. Rogers. Of the choices, I think he would be the most intresting person to talk with! (Besides, even if I put salt in the batter instead of sugar, he'd still find good things to say about them!)
I feel so bad because I am Catholic but I would still pick Mr. Rogers. Wouldn't he have just been the perfect guest? Love those silicone pans and I make muffins for my kids to have almost every day for breakfast. Stars would be a great addition.
The Queen! I'm not catholic and Mr. Rogers would be too boring! I bet the Queen would have some great stories!
The Pope because he should judge :)
I'd give a cupcake to the Queen. Am I the only on who's never of Mr. Rogers? :)
Thanks for the chance to win these fantastic gifts!
Mr. Rogers! I love him. He was always like a good friend.
I chose Mr Rogers. Isn't he dead, though? Does that mean I'd serve him the cupcakes in Heaven, then? Well, okay. He probably hasn't had a cupcake for a while. All the more reason to give him one.
You are funny, btw. :-)
I'd choose Queen Elizabeth II - because cupcakes are the perfect treat for teatime! (And I always thought Mr. Rogers was a bit creepy, sorry!).
Uhhhh, Mr. Rogers.
Kathy
Too cute. I would choose Mr. Rogers because he would be the least intimidating, and he's like family, I spent so much time watching his show.
I would love to have a tea party with Queen Elizabeth!
The Queen...because then I could meet a queen!
kiley.carp(at)gmail(dot)com
I'd serve Mr. Rogers cuz I'd be way to intimidated with the other two lol.
Queen Elizabeth--especially if it meant a trip to England!
Mr. Rogers for sure! He was so gentle and kind. My kids and I adore him! cookiecutter72 AT hotmail dot com
the pope. I doubt he'd say anything if they were a little dry ;)
threeofakindblog at gmail
I'd give them to Mr. Rogers because I suck at cooking and I wouldn't want to be known as the person who got the Pope sick or poisened the Queen with their cooking. Not that I'd wish ill on Mr. Rogers. He just seems the least important... okay, I know that sounds really bad!
I would want to share them with Mr. Rogers. A former co-worker of mine personally knew Fred Rogers and said that he was the kindest man he ever knew. He took the time to get to know and appreciate everyone around him.
Thank you for doing this giveaway.

Mr Rogers hands down.
Mt. Rodgers - he'd say they were perfect!
I'd love to serve cupcakes to Queen Elizabeth II because she would have tea served on beautiful dishes in a gorgeous room which would go very nicely with the cupcakes. :)
Plus, I'd love to listen to her accent (I lived in England as a child). :)
adashofsassitude(at)gmail.com
I pick Mr. Rogers because I think he would appreciate them the most no matter how they turned out. Thanks!
I would definitely want to serve them to Mr. Rogers - he would make a big deal about them! When he passed away it was like a part of my childhood also passed away.
Mr. Rogers! I always wanted to be his neighbor and ride the trolley.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a little bit of sunshine behind!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you'll come again soon!
Definitely Mr. Rogers! I could have an actual conversation with him without having to worry about impressing him! I'd have to watch my manners, though!
The Queen probably. She has never tasted cupcakes as good as mine.
mdvanzant at gmail dot com
The Pope, I want to see how baggy is eyes really are! Great giveaway! Count me in. bebemiqui82(at)yahoo(dot)com

I would love to serve them to Mr. Rogers. He is a fond childhood memory for me and my kids.
Mr. Rodgers. Maybe he'd sing me a song.
I'd serve them to Mr. Rogers. Too much pressure to the pope and Queen Elizabeth.
Definitely Mr. Rogers. He's so nice; even if mine turned out really ugly (and yucky tasting) he'd still applaud my attempt. :0)
Thanks!
meg.wilson@gmail.com
Mr. Rogers! That's who it would be.allmycrazycats@aol.com
OH! Mr. Rogers!! Hands down! :)
He warms my heart. I'm sorry he's gone.
Thanks for entering my giveaway! And for liking my blog. ;)
I'll be back to visit here!
I'd serve them to Queen Elizabeth II so she can enjoy them with her tea and crumpets! Then when she raves about it, she can hook me up with Prince William! Ok, I can dream right??
fertawert AT yahoo DOT com
Great giveaway! I hope i'm the lucky winner! :) haha totally mr rogers!
he seemed so nice and even if the cupcake was bad he'd say it was great :)
Oh definately Mr. Rogers. I loved him and actually cried when he passed away. My son is CRAZY about sprinkles! Would LOVE this prize!
I'd give it to Mr. Rogers as I always enjoyed watching him
Where have I been? The bloggy giveaways is on? My goodness, how can you tell I haven't been blogging much lately! Looks like I'm not too late to enter your giveaway which I love, by the way. I love to bake and that cupcake pan is just too adorable. So, I'd want to have Mr. Rogers over for cupcakes. Why? 'Cause I love how he changes into his indoor shoes and sweater when he comes in the house. That would be fun to see in person.
I'd have to say Mr. Rogers too as my kids grew up watching and loving his show. Also I'd be to scared to serve star cupcakes to the Pope or a Queen. Mr. Rogers is more my style.
